A unique contemporary home located within a historic sloping walled-garden, wrapped along the edge of a natural swimming pond.  The garden had been separated off from the large property to which it once belonged several decades ago, and a bungalow built within it.  We were approached by the client after having completed some initial design work elsewhere.  They wanted to look at using an oak-frame in a modern way to create the asymmetric (and curved) forms of this striking building that sits nestled into the rising land behind, with a wall of glass opening onto a ‘board-walk’ alongside the water’s edge.  A striking, spacious property that is filled with light.
