Our very own self-build!  On the edge of a large mature oak-woodland, with stunning views out over the valley below, our ‘Cruckbarn’ has been constructed almost completely by us, using materials sourced as close to the site as possible. The ‘Cruck’ that gives the building its name refers to the oak-frame design of the main feature – the ‘A’ frame that holds up the roof over the vaulted sitting area. This is a traditional feature, often found in timber buildings in England and Wales.  We now rent it out for self-catering holidays (for up to five people in two bedrooms) – you can find the details, as well as more about our story and the process we went through in building our Cruckbarn via our website: www.cruckbarn.co.uk

We carried out the design, planning, and construction of this project!
